Welcome to my Page Educators!
Introductions
Hello there, my name is Adriana Ponce and I am so happy that you have stopped by this site. Please find the site tabs on the top of the screen that will guide you through the work that I have been privileged to do over the course of two years in the San Diego Teacher Residency program, and in my Masters program through the High Tech High Graduate School of Education.
During year one, I worked with 6th grade students in a project based learning environment, which you will find under math + science and the Humanities tabs. During year two while I worked on Masters courses, I completed 3 rounds of lesson studies towards my Masters Degree in teaching and learning. You will also be able to find out more about my philosophy on teaching in transformative capacities, my impact statement, and last but not least, my future projects.
A Note On: The Intersections of Identity
My lived experiences encompass being a woman, a chicana, and being queer identifying. There are many people who have experiences that are similar to mine, as well as vastly different from mine. As you visit my page, I appreciate your open-mindedness in advance, as well as your efforts to spread awareness, acceptance and visibility that validates all intersectional students, and staff that you encounter every day.
